What is ERC?
Employee Retention Credits (ERC) are an IRS program to refund your ministry for certain payroll expenses your church paid during the COVID-19 Pandemic. If you experienced any of the following, you could be eligible for UP TO $26,000 PER EMPLOYEE:
- Reduced income of 50% between 2019 and 2020
- Reduced income of 20% between 2019 and 2021
- A full or partial suspension of services
- Reduced capacity in your services
What is the process?
We make it very straightforward and break it down in to three easy steps:
- Answer a brief questionnaire
- Upload some documents
- After a few days, review our work and approve
Its as simple as that. No need to read through the tax code or fill out complicated quarterly filings. We take care of all of that for you.
What documents do you need?
The process is a lot of work... but not for you. We need the following documents:
- Copies of your 941 or 941X for Q2 of 2020 through Q3 of 2021
- Copies of your payroll reports for Q2 of 2020 through Q3 of 2021 (we can show you how to get these with most major payroll providers)
- If you took PPP we need to know
- How much did you receive
- When was it approved
- How many weeks did it take to qualify for forgiveness (8 or 24 weeks)
That's it! We review these documents and send you the 941Xs to review.
What do we pay?
Here is the best part, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY UP FRONT. We take a percentage of what the IRS pays to you. You can either pay:
- 15% after you get your checks from the IRS
OR
- 10% before we file with the IRS
If you don't qualify, you don't have to pay us.
